Composite Materials

Sought after for their unique combination of properties, composite materials are the ideal solution for a wide range of applications.

Overview

Composite materials are coveted materials that combine the advantages of different materials to offer a unique blend of lightness and strength. They are crafted by combining an organic resin with fiber reinforcement.

FAQ

The main advantage of this resin is its affordability. It can be worked on different surfaces (when well-prepared), although it is best suited for wood or another polyester base — it is better to favor an epoxy base on epoxy for increased durability. The main advantage of two-component resins is that they harden at room temperature, which is a key advantage in many applications
Depending on the composition of composite materials, they can have many properties and therefore many advantages. Composite materials allow almost infinite freedom in assembly, making it possible to create custom materials with the desired properties according to the manufactured product.
Resistant to corrosion, UV damage, extreme temperatures, and humidity, composite materials adapt perfectly to most environmental conditions, even the most extreme ones. Additionally, they are lightweight, rigid, mechanically strong, watertight, resistant to chemicals, and corrosion-resistant.
There are usually three families: Organic Matrix Composites (OMC), Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC), and Metal Matrix Composites (MMC).
